Celebrating daddy's 30th birthday!
Yesterday was Breese's birthday and we celebrated all weekend long! On Saturday, we started by going to lunch at Shooters.
Then to the Botanical Garden and the Crawford Museum (to see cool, old cars). For dinner we met up with GG and Grandpa Bob in Little Italy!
Sunday was very exciting, too! Anabelle celebrated Dad's birthday by going to her first baseball game. We cheered the Indians on to a win!

Cruising!
Anabelle went on her first vacation! To celebrate Grandma and Grandpa's 35th anniversary we all went on a cruise to Key West and Cozumel. It was SOOO much fun. Anabelle loved spending time with the family, chilling by the pool, staying up late and most of all ... feeling the warmth of the sunshine!!

Anabelle since Mid-Feb
It has been awhile since anything has been posted about Anabelle. She has been growing like crazy and experiencing new things everyday. Here are couple of her firsts:
Her first Super Bowl: She had Steelers gear on but couldn't muster much excitement. Tough to do in the rival town of the Browns.
Kentucky Basketball: Anabelle loves watching Meeks and Petterson but isn't sure about the teams' overall outlook. She promises to always bleed blue though.
MY EYES: I am past six months and my eyes are still blue. Looks like that might be the way they stay.

Anabelle Loves Cereal!
Anabelle has come around to liking most of her vegetables. Her favorites are carrots and green beans. Sorry Grandma, she doesn't seem to like sweet potatoes though. But her favorite thing is rice cereal in the morning. Take a look as she attacks:

Tooth Fairy Visits
I CUT MY FIRST TOOTH ! ! ! !
It wasn't fun, and I don't look forward to all the upcoming teeth, but I have my first tooth. A sharp little piece in my lower gums. I accidentally bit my finger today and that caused some serious screaming.
Dad wants to post a picture but I am very protective of my new feature. I only show it if I am screaming in pain and that doesn't seem like a good picture opportunity. Once it sticks out a little more I will give a shiny white tooth smile.

Anabelle and Toes
Anabelle found her toes a little while ago but now they are her favorite toy. As soon as you lay her down she starts removing her socks. The socks go straight to the mouth then she can get at the toes.

Zerbert Town !!!!!
Anabelle has a new trick . . . well maybe not a trick but a skill to avoid having to eat vegetables. If you are Zerberting then vegetables can't get into your mouth. (To my sisters: No, this is not the beginning of eating habits like her father.) In another couple weeks she will get to try fruits and then, ICE CREAM!!!!!

Anabelle Teaches Reading
Anabelle made a trip down to Louisville with Mom and Aunt Alice last week. She had fun flirting with boys, burning her finger at a cuban restaurant and teaching a reading class. Anabelle's 4 Month Check-Up
Anabelle had her 4 month check up on January 2nd. The doctor said that everything looked perfect and that she was a healthy baby. Here are her stats:
- Length: 25-1/2 inches (90th percentile)
- Weight: 14 lbs 3 Oz (70th percentile)
- Head: 40-1/2 cm (45th percentile)
The doctor also said that her gums were swollen and she has started teething. She made it sound very exciting, "It starts now and doesn't ever end." We are definitely feeling the fact that she is teething with a lot more fussy time and a lot less sleeping.
Finally, the doctor said that it's time to start solid foods. Mom is very excited about this. Pictures and video to come on this exciting milestone.

Merry Christmas
Anabelle was a trooper and went to pick out the Christmas tree this year. No the picture below isn't our tree. They have a bunch decorated inside at the place we bought our tree.
She got to meet Santa while we were there too. Well, I guess it was more of manequin dressed as Santa Claus. Anabelle was a little confused, but interested.
And guess what Anabelle just found? Her feet!!!! She started pulling her legs up and then grabbing her toes.

Rock and ROLL
Guess what Anabelle can do??? She can roll over. It was very exciting until we thought about the implications, no more laying her on the couch and going to grab something from the other room. Or anything like that.

Anabelle the Penguin
Well, it wasn't her favorite thing we ever dressed her in. Anabelle was a penguin for Halloween. Anyone suprised that she was an animal? She wore the costume twice for a combined total of maybe 10 minutes. She was cute though.
Mom and dad had a wedding to attend so Anabelle hung out with Grandma and Grandpa Watson handing out candy to kids at home.

Babysitting Grandparents
GG and Grandpa Bob passed their first babysitting test last weekend while Maggie and I were at a wedding. Now it's Grandma and Grandpa Watsons turn this weekend while we are at another wedding.

Meeting friends!
The other day Anabelle met her new friend, Ella (my friend Juli's daughter). They are two months apart and destined to be good pals!

Today is Anabelle's 1 month birthday.

She's doing great, very happy and healthy. Actually she now weighs 10 lb 4 oz! That's a gain of 2 lb 4 oz in one month!

It's Going, Going, Going, It's Gone
Anabelle is happy to report that she has rid herself of her umbilical stump. She's not quite ready to show off the new belly button though. It needs a couple days to clean itself up. Then she'll reveal it so be excited.
She was also weighed yesterday and is continuing her trend of adding weight fast. At 13 days old she weighs 8 lbs 14 oz and is 21 inches long. That's almost a full pound more than her birth weight.
As for Mom and Dad - We are doing well. Anabelle's schedule still shifts a little each day. We obviously wish we were getting more sleep but we don't have anything to complain about. Anabelle is generally a pretty good sleeper overnight. I promise to try and post some more pictures and videos over the weekend. The whole work thing has been getting in the way.

Anabelle Goes to the Farm
Anabelle went for a road trip yesterday to visit the farm i.e. The Gibbons Residence. The tractor ride will have to wait a little bit but Gramps Gibbons got to hold his grand-daughter.
Eating Machine
From the books we have read, a baby is expected to lose weight the first five days then regain to their birthweight by 10 - 14 days. Well, our little eating machine was weighed after 5 days with great results. Anabelle weighed 8 lbs 4 ozs. 4 ozs more than her birth weight. Some of that may have been diaper weight but worst case, she made it back to even. Great news for Mom and Dad.
The past two nights Anabelle has slept happily in her bassinet. Up until then we were using swings and bouncey chairs to keep her calm at night. We can feed her then hold her a little and lay her in the bassinet and she will sleep for 3 hours. I'm sure I am jinxing us by saying this so be ready for an update tomorrow saying she wouldn't sleep a wink.

The Barley Monster
Our 100 pound lovable beast Barley went to stay at the Gibbons so we could have a simpler transition back home after Anabelle was born. So yesterday he came back home and we were pleasantly suprised. He came in and sniffed everything and walked over to Maggie holding Anabelle. He was definitely curious but overall pretty calm.
After one day of keeping up with Anabelle's all day and all night schedule he looked a little ragged . . .
He follows us around to whatever room we take Anabelle and comes close whenever she makes a sound. He tasted her foot a little but other than that he hasn't got too much. A little more training and we should be in good shape.

Anabelle's 24 hour Update
So, another day has come and gone with new experiences for Mom, Dad and Anabelle. Here is what has happened . . .
Last night Maggie and I decided we would give Anabelle her first cleaning. The class about baths we wanted to go to at the hospital was canceled and we hadn't read any of the books so were phenomenally unprepared. Luckily Anabelle is a trooper. She cried but we made it through.
We have also found her calming secret, the vibrating chair. After a feeding we can burp her then calm her a little and put her in the chair. Then she is out like a light. Once I found this out I went and purchased tons of batteries because I wasn't getting caught with a dead vibrating chair.
She also likes her swing. I just thought this was a pretty cool picture.
The stroller made its first venture around the block. Anabelle slept the entire way, ignoring all the bumps.
And last but not least, a little treat for the McLoraine crazies.

Anabelle Grace is here !!!!
After 9 months of hard work . . . Breese and Maggie are proud to announce the birth of Anabelle Grace Watson. She was born Thursday, August 28th at 2:23pm. She weighed 8lbs exactly and was 20 inches long. Both Mom and Baby are doing great.
We got home from the hospital Saturday afternoon and are starting to settle in. Check back soon for pictures and videos.
